Remi's Last Day of School

Remi has been waiting for this day for a long time...especially because it means we will be going to California soon!

Today she finished Kindergarten/First Grade!!
The only kid in her school to ever do this!

All sweaty!

I have to brag and say that this kid reads at a six grade reading level!
Go Remi!

WOOHOO  ALL DONE!!
Next year she will continue her crazy combination of First/Second Grade!

But first...SUMMER!!!

GO REMI!!

The Air Force Museum--Dayton

Yesterday we drove over to Dayton with our buds to go to the Airforce Museum.
It.  Was.  Awesome.
If you've ever been to the Hill Air Force Base museum in Utah, take that and triple it and you've got the one in Dayton.  They pretty much have massive hangars that take you through each war and have all the planes and other cool stuff that go with it.

The WORST part was the freaking blimp.
I hate blimps.
I don't know why but they seriously give me the willies.
It's looming presence made me want to curl up and crawl on the floor.
Remi and Corr think my fear of blimps is entertaining...

They loved the paint job on this one.

Clearly someone was excited.

I was most excited to see this.
It's the actual plane and bomb shell that dropped/was dropped on Hiroshima.
You couldn't help but have a reverence around it knowing how devastating that single plane was.

Corr and his girlfriend of the day, Reece!
Side Note:  Corr only has one true love and he gets really mad and embarrassed when I talk about her but I'll make sure he doesn't read this.
He is totally in love with this 8 year old at church.  Like he blushes and gets embarrassed when she walks into the room in love.  It all started at a church activity and she was helping out in the nursery.  Corr came home so excited and these were his words, "MOM, there was the most beautiful girl in the whole world there.  She had LONG black hair and she's like TEN and at the games she would only pick me!  I'm going to marry her."
This was like a few months ago.  He's still in love with her.
I have to say she is really really cute.
Corr has good taste.

Corr's been playing too much Battlefield with Dad because he loved all of the guns.....and knew what most of them were.

Bombs always make us giggle because for some reason it's the word Corr uses to describe his manhood...

With Dad's favorite plane.

Remi was taking her piloting duties very seriously.

One of the coolest things was they had actual spy stuff.
I seriously didn't know all of that was real.  The watch was a radio transmitter and the umbrella had a camera in it.

They seriously used disguise kits!!!

The space room was awesome.
These were HUGE.

We ditched Remi and went up to the next story so we could get a comparison picture.

Can you see her?

The funniest thing that happened was we all went to go take a bathroom break and I was about to shut the door and Remi started screaming bloody murder.  I turned and saw this giant black thing crawling across the floor so I started screaming because Remi was screaming.  Then Corr turned around to see why we were screaming and when he saw the MASSIVE spider he started screaming like a teenage girl.  Steph Bow came running in because she probably thought we were dying. After determining it wasn't a jumping spider she smashed it and we all started laughing.
I'm surprised the Airforce didn't send down the troops in response to our massive freak out.

Catching Frogs

Yesterday we went on our third frog catching adventure.
Matt is currently 3 for 3 on frog catching and is considering a career change....

First we had a healthy picnic of Little C's....

Contemplating the beauty of the universe.

Savoring a delicious bite of pepperoni, cheese and grease.

Who stole my breadstick?

Sweet Manna From Heaven!

This kid is seriously the messiest eater...
Not Corr...he doesn't miss a single crumb....
which is why he currently weighs 52 pounds.

FAIL!

Face of Pure Terror

These hiking sticks have accompanied us on many hikes...
it's like they can't go without them now.

Searching for frogs.
Some other girl found a turtle and let the kids hold it.

Swamp people.

I call him "poop eyes" because he has brown eyes.
He HATES it.
But here you can see those poop eyes.

BEHOLD MY STICK

We caught this frog on our way back.
Remi got a little excited...squeezed  little too hard....and got peed and pooped on.

Pure frog joy.

Sensual ice cream face....
